I LOVE the way behind-the-scenes snapshots allow you to feel and absorb the mood and true essence of a collection, in some cases better than if you were to scroll through each individual look. The candid moments and the flurry of pre-show activity evokes such a beautiful and mysterious sense of anticipation and excitement…!
On the collection… Intricate floral embroidery, chandelier jewels, and large draped bows were made modern with fuchsia hued structural silhouettes, bold lips and sleek straight hair. A rather ‘royal’ resort offering… glamourous, and simply beautiful!
Happy Sunday loves!

Simply obsessed with Giambattista Valli‘s fall show at Paris fashion week yesterday! Graphic floral prints, rosey-hued cocktail dresses, structural silhouettes, and oxblood metallics all culminated in a textural display of femininity and edgy elegance.
Short hemlines and a Spring colour palette made for an unusual Autumn offering that seamlessly combined statement-making sophistication with a fresh and youthful spirit. Loves!
I attended the Whitney Eve Spring 2012 show in Sydney on Saturday night which proved a beautiful culmination of soft florals and sheer pastels with a hint of bold sophistication. Shorts and jackets in on-trend metallics were featured and the peplum dresses, playsuits and beautiful rolled hairstyles were a subtle nod to forties glamour. Contrasting lifestyle influences from Los Angeles and New York could also be found in the collection, largely reminiscent of designer Whitney Port’s life and unique style aesthetic. The collection is a true testament to the young designer’s steady success from her days as a reality tv star, working for Teen Vogue, Diane Von Furstenburg and People’s Revolution, to the fully fledged fashion designer she is today.
The Whitney Eve Spring ’12 collection reflects Whitney’s personal touch and organic approach to designing in which the styles are as wearable as they are beautiful. While in Australia, Whitney also launched her WE by Whitney Eve diffusion line now available exclusively at Sportsgirl. Whitney describes the accessible WE collection as designed for those who love her style and would like to have a little piece of it. In person Whitney is gracious, dignified and sweet, exuding a genuine flair for fashion and dedication to design.
Loved the show and wish Whitney continued success 🙂
